My name is Steve Kalmer and I currently live and breed my bi-color Persians in West Palm Beach, Florida.  I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio. Youngstown is about an hour from Cleveland. 


I started breeding Persians in 2003 starting with Himalayans.  I bred for chocolates and lilacs in solids and Himalayans.  I then found the bi-color Persian, which I fell in love with.  I then began looking for that special look that I had always wanted and strived to get.  I then found the Chantilylace look.

I bought my first bi-color persian in 2005, I then began to place my Himalayans and started to breed only high quality, high white bi-colors using Chantilylace/Rhamjoge/Catillak lines. After that, my bi-color Persians using those lines as my back bone to my breeding program, are the only cats I will breed. I have since added a few outcrosses to get the look that I have always wanted!! I have added the Budmar and Bayou Moon lines to my breeding program which has created that special look. The catteries in my lines include Chantilylace, Catillak, Candirand, EZLUVIN, Rhamjoge, Patlen, Budmar, Bayou Moon to name a few.

PUR-SNICKITY CATTERY is a PKD NEGATIVE cattery.  All breeding adults here have been tested  by me using UC Davis and all appropriate certificates are in my possession.

ALL KITTENS THAT LEAVE PUR-SNICKITY CATTERY WILL HAVE A FLORIDA STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE, PKD RESULTS OF THE PARENTS, ALL AGE APPROPRIATE VACCINATIONS, CFA REGISTRATION SLIP FOR ALL KITTENS SOLD WITH BREEDING/SHOW RIGHTS, COPIES OF THE PARENTS CFA PEDIGREES AND ANY OTHER VACCINATION RECORDS.

I specialize in dilutes including:  dilute calicos, cream and white & blue and white.   Dominate calicos have also been added to my program.  So I can get most color combinations.

I breed for the standard and healthy, happy kittens.  Important features to me are HUGE round eyes, short-snub nose, tiny ears, short legs with a cobby body and a thick, long coat.  Daily socializing from birth is something I take pride in and make sure every kitten that leaves PUR-SNICKITY Cattery has been socialized and is happy, healthy, friendly and of quality lines.  Even PUR-SNICKITY pet kittens are high quality kittens.

At PUR-SNICKITY CATTERY I use Fresh Step Crystals cat litter.  This litter is great for odor control and is dust free and there is much less mess/clean up with this litter.  Also if showing a cat, this litter does not stain their paws.
At PUR-SNICKITY CATTERY I feed Taste of the Wild cat food.  All natural premium food sold in hard and canned.  I use the salmon and trout formula.  This food is used for all stages of life...kitten to adult!  For new kittens learning to eat I use Royal Canine baby cat.  This food is really tiny and easy for young kittens to eat.  After they are about 3-4 months old, I switch them over to the Taste of the Wild!
